[Geomoose-users] Results Window.

The reasons for displaying in another window and not an embedded window:
1) Creates inconsistent interfaces.
2) It would require GeoMOOSE to also have a "windowing" library - leading to code bloat.
3) It can potentially interfere with interface operation.
4) Users usually want those "internal" windows to look, act, and work like real windows, and they never, ever, do.

Nope that does a popup window. The only
two options without some major programming are to display the results inside a
tab or in a new popup window.

 THis is what it gave me….

 Jay,
 You would need to add a
display="window" attribute to your service definition. See
below. Also make sure you have your cached cleared before you try it.

   <service
title="Identify" default="true"
cursor="url(cursors/identify2.cur), auto"
icon="shared/images/toolbar/identify.jpg"
highlight="shared/images/toolbar/identify_selected.jpg" locked="true"
shape="point" display="window">
   <url>/cgi-bin/mapserv.exe</url>
   <input type="hidden" name="map"value="/ms4w/apps/GeoMOOSE/maps_gid/identify.map"/>
   <input type="point" name="mapxy"delim=" "/>
   <input type="extent" name="imgext"delim=" "/>
   <input type="layertitles"name="layers" delim=" "/>
   <input type="imagesize" name="imgsize"delim=" "/>
   <input type="hidden" name="mode"value="nquery"/>
  </service>

 I
remember Brian mentioned there was a results window potential in GeoMoose.

 Does
anyone know how I can activate that? what files to modify that?

 THanks
