[Geomoose-users] special characters

The umlaut... :-) My wife is a German teacher and we just returned from visiting friends in Dusseldorf.

I won't embarass myself with my German writing (my speaking is much better).

You could use the "ue", "oe" and "ae" -- I know it is not fun and is only really a "hack." It is much better to use the proper characters.

I'm not 100% sure how to change things up yet to support the umlauts... I think this should definitely be on the "to do" list. It looks like the XML encoding is the problem.

Hi erveyone,

is there a way to have special characters
like ä, ö, ü, etc properly displayed in Geomoose?

I tried setting the charset to utf-8 but
the results from the querys are still not formatted properly. The database I use
contains a lot of “umlauts” (Is that the right English word?) which
I need to display when using the identify-tool…
You can see a screenshot of my problem
here:

 Anyone who can help me?
 Thanks
 Janosch
