[Geomoose-users] Re Images

Jay,

A couple thoughts...

If your Geomoose site is working on IE7 on more than just one other computer
I don't think that you would need to reinstall MS4W or Geomoose - at least I
would be surprised.

It is possible that even when you uninstalled and reinstalled IE7 the cache
might have been kept. Did you go to Tools>clear browsing history yet?

If the site is a public site I might try using http://browsershots.org it
will let you look at your site on just about any browser for just about any
OS.

No luck on the uninstall...
I have uninstalled IE reinstalled and then upgraded to IE 7.
I have cleared my cache.
Stopped and started Apache service

Although I have this working on my laptop...The only other thing I can do is
uninstall GeoMoose and Apache from my desktop and reinstall....

It seems that something in GeoMoose is remembering that I placed a large
image in the toolbar and wont let it resize back to the smaller height.
On the laptop I never tried to replace the images so they were the original
ones that come with GeoMoose.
When I replaced with the new images everything worked.

Anyone have any thoughts before I remove Apache and GeoMoose from my machine,
and do a reinstall, thus moving gigs worth of info around?

Thanks Again for all you help

I have no idea whats is going on but I copied my files to a laptop that I had
GeoMoose Already running (but outdated), so I updated it will all the files
from my Computer that I am having the problems with (although I did not try
to update the button images on the laptop up to this point, so the original
small buttons with the GeoMoose Install were there)

Everything works....So its all the same files and same images but on another
box.

I am now going to try and uninstall IE and install version 7 again to see if
there is something with IE's install...

I know the code works, I know it works in Firefox, it is now working on IE
BUT on another machine...It has to be related to the IE currently installed
on my computer.

Any thoughts?

Jay, is this still running on your local machine? Is this anything that can
be accessed by any of us? I'd have to take a look at how the CSS is
interaction before really knowing what's going on ... I haven't seen this
behaviour before.

I just don't understand how one could come out perfect and the others are
being stretched somehow..I deleted the images and then replaced them, cleared
my cache etc...then added them again and I am not getting different results
then my example below...
Again these are the same images...

[cid:image001.png at 01C90F33.AB59FD40]

What is causing the tool bar height to increase??? Or what is causing the
image to expand...

Again from the image above....the larger images were the original images. I
shrank them and then tried to display.
One comes out fine and the others are still being stretched and distorted?

Although everything is fine in Firefox...(image wise)

Thanks

In the ArcIMS javascript, 3 pixels are always added to the size of a frame
for IE, presumably because of these kinds of problems. If so, this has been
going on for about 10 years.

Anyone ever see this before? I am using a temp image...

I am frustrated...I am using a few images that I got from Adam ....works in
Firefox...not in IE

I made the image smaller and then tried to put it in my app....

In IE it seems to be wanting to expand most of them...

NOTE THESE Are the same exact images.

I look at them in Firefox and they are perfect...

I started and stopped apache

Clear my Cache and temp folders.

Rebooted

Still messed up...
