[Geomoose-users] Charset encoding for Windows 1256

Moh-Maher,

Swinging in the dark here, but it doesn't sound like a GeoMoose core problem, but rather a problem with one of the query steps.  I see that you have other Arabic character displaying, so that leads me to conclude it's only in the processing of the results from the query/Identify.

This could be the result of how MapServer deals with the Query/Identify, or the server side script (are you using PHP on windows for example).

Sorry I can't be of more help, but I don't think this is a GeoMoose specific problem, but rather something related to making the queries themselves.  GeoMoose is just displaying what it receives.  

Is you application available online?  There are others here that may be able to help more.

Hi All,

I know it's an old question but I really need to solve that.

Whenever I use the query or identify function inside Geomoose for an Arabic charset (encoding Windows 1256) database records.

I always get it displayed in the side panel as unknown characters (snapshot attached), maybe Geomoose is dealing with it as Unicode.

So my question is :-
How can I display correctly the Arabic (encoding windows 1256 characters) within the side panel. ??
