You can tune apache's logging be playing with the settings in apache.conf. It's always a good idea to do some level of logging. You should be find to delete them.

Subject: [Geomoose-users] Access.log

Hello All,

I was checking some of my files for size on my server and came across some logs for apache that are huge.

They are access.log and error.log. They are close to 1 GB each. They are located in c:\ms4w\Apache\logs\

Can I just delete these files and they will rebuild themselves or is there a way to reduce them in size?

I understand they contain information about who is accessing the web application but is there any good information in these files? Should I be checking them more often so they are easy to view?

Thanks,

Rick
