[Geomoose-users] how to add aerial photo that isn't wms

Jim,

As long as you have a Mapserver with MrSID support compiled in (not all
do) then it's just a matter of configuring the MapFile. This is all
related to MapServer operation, not GeoMoose specifically. MapServer
makes the conversion of MrSid for GeoMoose use.

So this is something different in GM 2? Mr.sid’s worked in GM1.?.

Thanks

Jim,

You'll need a MapServer executable compiled with the MRSID support, once
that's in place, then you configure the connection to the MRsid format
via the MapFile. Be advised that MRSid files can be lacking in
performance vs other data formats.

I’m looking for an example on how to add aerial photo. The only example
I can find is for wms but the mr.sid file is on my server.

Thanks
