[Geomoose-users] GM 2.4 RC1, Mapserver 6.0 beta 5

GD Bug - This is on the dev list and they are working on it.

GAP/STYLE directives will need to be updated.

GM 2.4 ships with OL 2.8 because we actually extend classes from OL 2.8, so we have a version dependency.  There's been no real feature fixes in OL 2.10 to justify the upgrade.

Regarding WMS, use WMS whenever possible.  Some folks area little gun shy about it and, really, "type=mapserver" in GeoMOOSE should be deprecated in favor of WMS.  The "mapserver" layers do have a speed advantage when printing and that's about it.

loadOutputFormat(): General error message. OUTPUTFORMAT clause references driver GD/JPEG, but this driver isn't configured.)  I couldn't tell if GD is being removed from MS6 or not.

>As far as GeoMoose goes, and assuming all of my data are local, does it matter if my own data layers are Mapserver layers or WMS layers created by Mapserver?  Some of my data will be served as individual WMS layers anyway.  This is proabbly more of a Mapserver/mapscript question though.
