Yes, tried that, but the application still starts with folders open.

Bob,

Have you tried to test it with only one small group of layers?

Ed

renderGroup in GeoMOOSE.Tab.Catalog

But again... the same code (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and the same mapbook in the same browser has to have the same results. Unless you can come up with some meaningful difference between the original path that works and the supposedly identical copy that doesn't, I am at a complete loss as to how to help. I'm starting to think your computer is just messing with you.

Do you have any odd things going on in the web server where it is trying to add/change content on the fly? I have see this in one case where they were using something server side to wrap all the pages with a common header that was breaking GeoMoose.

Well, I did the copy of GM, so I would guess that the file here were identical to the demo. So are we hitting different files than expected? If I do anything else to manipulate that mapbook.xml (such as change a title or something else minor), I see that change. But, we're only talking about mapbook.xml.

So, going on that, then we could infer that mapbook.xml is not hitting what it should. What code is triggered by the <group> tag?

If the mapbook doesn't change, and it is the stock code base, GeoMoose doesn't have anything to display the catalog differently just because the base path changed so...
* something is different in the "copy" GeoMoose
* something is different in the mapbook being sent to the browser (and this was tested false)
* the browser isn't receiving/rendering the files you (think you) have on the server.

Right, I created a new httpd file for it.
No, I didn't change local_settings.ini in this example, although that would be done for a "real" application. But, I don't think that should affect the group folders opening and closing either way.

What else did you do besides copying the directory (\ms4w\apps\geomoose2) under a new name (\ms44\apps\geomoose3)? I just tried copying the directory and it is not enough for MS4W to pickup the new name - it doesn't find it at all.

If I also copy and modify \ms4w\httpd.d\httpd_geomoose2_ms4w.conf to \ms4w\httpd.d\httpd_geomoose3_ms4w.conf and replace all occurrences within of geomoose2 with geomoose3, the demo works as expected.

Presumably, \ms4w\apps\geomoose3\local_settings.ini should also be modified as well to use the copied version of the mapfiles, etc.

Just to be sure, I've just downloaded the latest GM 2.6 download. I unzipped the demo app and it works normally. Then I made a copy of it under a new name. When I open this application, all folders are expanded. They are both residing in the same ms4w/apps directory, the only difference is the application folder name. Any ideas?

Resend: Message got too big for the list.

There is something wrong with your GeoMoose install (as opposed to your mapbook). I also checked and your getmapbook.php is returning the mapbook you sent in the email. Are you sure you are using the released and/or latest version?

I put your catalog into my app and it shows up like this to start.

And the "nested" same groups show up when you click on them...
