[Geomoose-users] install of GM on localhost

Jim,

It has been a while since I worked on GeoMOOSE and IIS. But to start here are a couple things I might check out:

* GeoMOOSE 1.6 is old. It is not compatible with the newer versions of MS4W. If needed I can see if I can find the link that is compatible with GeoMOOSE 1.6.

* GeoMOOSE 1.6 is old. This may be a good excuse to upgrade

* There may be some settings in your mapfiles and application files that have been added to connect to the IIS version of PHP. I think I still have GM 1.6 /IIS code somewhere around. I will see if I can find anything.

* It may help to download the GM 1.6 demo (if it is still out there) to see if there are any IIS vs Apache changes?

* In apache you need to configure the httpd.conf file in C:\ms4w\httpd.d. If you're using the defaults then you might not need to do anything here.

Subject: [Geomoose-users] install of GM on localhost

I downloaded the MS4W from Maptools and the GM 1.6 from Geomoose.org and started Apache. I can get the skins to show but not the data for the Countydemo. Anything I might be forgetting?

What I really want to do is migrate my current IIS GM from the server to my desktop running Apache. When I move the folders to my own computer it breaks everything on the GM interface. I am installing on local hard drive named A:\

Thanks, Jim
