If you just want to see how it looks, install the latest beta in Ubuntu
14.04:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:geonode/testing
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install geonode
geonode createsuperuser
sudo geonode-updateip localhost

Go to http://localhost/
