I have geoserver installed on a separate server from my geonode application. I've updated my local_settings.py appropriately and I can import a shape file and create layers with no problems.

However, when I try and create a map and bring in some layers that were already in my database I get errors about 404 not Found. There is a "POST" that is looking for gs/<layer>/edit-check but it is not found.
The URL is pointing to my local GEONODE server and NOT my Geoserver server.

Do you know why it cannot find this file? (Is it because my Geoserver is remote? Is there anything I can do to correct this?)

A similar question.
Is there anything else I need to do with having a remote geoserver? I read somewhere about a "genode" extension? Does this need to be put on the geoserver server?
If so, Where can I get this?

I installed the geoserver-printing module already and will look into installing mapfish but wondering if there is anythign else?

Thanks
