Hi devs
We’re installing Geonode 2.7 from the ansible<https://github.com/GeoNode/ansible-geonode> but pip install geonode (line 91<https://github.com/GeoNode/ansible-geonode/blob/4eb6339cbe4a01f5e3ec32ce9a4bab9e07cc010f/tasks/geonode.yml#L91>) fails with:
Downloading/unpacking OWSLib==0.14-dev (from geonode==2.7)
Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement OWSLib==0.14-dev (from geonode==2.7) (from versions: 0.9.2, 0.8.6, 0.8.2, 0.8.9, 0.8.10, 0.13.0, 0.8.5, 0.9.0, 0.8.7, 0.10.3, 0.7.0, 0.8.8, 0.7.1, 0.10.0, 0.2.0, 0.9.1, 0.11.0, 0.4.0, 0.11.1, 0.5.0, 0.7.2, 0.11.2, 0.6.0, 0.3.1, 0.2.1, 0.8.11, 0.8.0, 0.6.1, 0.8.4, 0.8.3, 0.8.12, 0.1.0, 0.14.0, 0.12.0, 0.5.1, 0.8.13, 0.3, 0.8.1, 0.10.1)
Cleaning up...
No distributions matching the version for OWSLib==0.14-dev (from geonode==2.7)
Evidently the OWSLib version in the Geonode 2.7 python package<https://pypi.python.org/pypi/GeoNode/2.7> should now be changed from 0.14-dev to 0.15.0.
We’ll workaround by using git instead of pip, as the git repo references<https://github.com/GeoNode/geonode/blob/2.7.x/requirements.txt#L4> OWSLib 0.15.0.
While I’m here… would you agree Geonode 2.7.x is the best choice for us? We're starting a new install on Amazon Web Services (AWS) with the goal of replacing our production Geonode 2.4 site<https://citydata.be.unsw.edu.au/> and popping out a second site via Geosites.
Regards
Jonathan
