We just booked the meeting room in the Royal Grand Hotel<br />

in Viareggio (https://www.hotelroyalviareggio.it/en/). We will have<br />

space for 60 people.<br />

We will have 2 coffee breaks and lunch included.<br />

As I said, the morning we'll be dedicated to user and developer<br />

workshops then afternoon presentations.<br />

We will organize some sort of social event in the evening; if the<br />

weather assists there will be plenty of things to do in our area in<br />

June.<br />

We will now go on and update the Summit website. In any case I confirm<br />

what I said in my previous email:<br />

- Viareggio is served by train and bus<br />

- closest airports are Pisa and Florence (both international)<br />

- there are plenty of hotels nearby aside from the conference one<br />

(which is not exactly cheap...). Rates in this period should be good<br />

but I recommend to book as early as possible. We will provide some<br />

recommendations on the summit website.<br />

As you might have heard we are keen to organize this year's summit in<br />

a location close our office in Viareggio, Italy, from the 11th of June<br />

to the 13th of June 2019.<br />

workshops) and afternoon will be for presentations centered on GeoNode<br />

and its downstream projects. The other two days will be used for the<br />

codepsprint where activities like bugfixing, documentation<br />

improvements and so on will be performed by the core developers as<br />

well as whoever is willing to help according to his skills. The whole<br />

even will be free of charge for participants.<br />
