[GeoNode-users] Geonode version 2.4: can't add a new user via front end menu

Hello,
I just finished an instalation of geonode 2.4 on an  14.04.1-Ubuntu 
server version. Everything is ok except that
I can't add new user from the front end menu even as superuser.
Besides I can't manage user auth rights via back end admin menu
As I read on the manual 
<http://geonode.readthedocs.org/en/latest/reference/developers/settings.html> 
there's nothing about this config.
Do you know whereit is possible to modify ?
