[GeoNode-users] Private groups (and members) still visible

Dear all,
I was probably too quick and a bit inattentive/inexperienced, but the 
same issue was discussed here: 
https://github.com/GeoNode/geonode/issues/1784
Should my 2161 issue be closed as a duplicate of 1784?
Sorry for that.

It seems anyway that the discussion stopped a while ago.
May I suggest as a comment in 1784 to move the rework suggested by 
state-hiu to the 2.5 milestone and to keep the correction of the current 
problem (visibility of private groups) in the 2.4?
