[GeoNode-users] Metadata in downloads

Geonode facilitates downloads of spatialdata in different formats. Would it
be possible to pack an xml-file with metadata along with, say the
shapefile, when it is zipped at server side. I know the packaging is done
by Geoserver serverside, so it might not be easy. Still - with our users we
are always pushing registration of metadata - however little is available.

Is this somehow available already, or would it have to be filed as an
improvement proposal?
