[Geoprisma-dev] Magic quotes ?

Hi devs,

  While documenting what are the prerequisites of GeoPrisma, I ran into 
the "Magic Quotes" in the gp-info.php text page [1].  I upgraded to php 
5.3 and in the php manual, it says that this features is deprecated 
[2].  But first, I'd like to know when we use this feature (this rings a 
bell, but I can't remember where to find it).  Any example to point out ?

  My goal is to make some doc out of it if possible.
