[geos-devel] GEOS 2.1 branch in sync

I've finished back-porting of ABI-compatible patches
from HEAD to 2.1 branch. Contextually I introduced
CHANGES files to both branches moving info from the
NEWS files (dropped) and updating them.

I've tested ABI compatibility by compiling postgis
against 2.1.1 and running its regress test against
2.1.2. It works.

Next step would be: test other ABI compatibility
(gdal, ...) and run any tests you might have around.

To try it out:

 # export CVSROOT=:pserver:cvs at geos.refractions.net:/home/cvs/postgis 
 # cvs login
	<password is cvs>
 # cvs co -r branch-2-1 geos
