[geos-devel] CVS checkout

Hi 
i am a newby , can someone please give me the cvs command to checkout the
code for GEOS. 
I woulkd like to compile the code on a win32 system.
I have downloaded the geos-2.2.3.tar.bz2  file , but using nmake with the
makefile.vc , i get the following error.

NMAKE : fatal error U1073: don't know how to make 'capi/geos_c.h.vc'
Stop.

The version.h.vc file is also missing from the archive.

Could someone please advise.
