Paul,

The UB in hashDouble() does not seem to leak very often as it might be
platform/implementation specific. So, I would vote for 1) leaving as or 2)
applying the memcpy-based fix suggested in the report.

Unfortunately, today I've dropped the only laptop I have here in London
and broken the graphics completely, so I can't see anything. Means, I've
became compiler-less now.
