Hi Paul,

I've downloaded, unpacked and built this RC using Visual C++ 2005
with success. I got 0 .exe files and 2 .dll files - as expected.

I've noticed that the README file is not very helpful for users building 
it on Windows. Perhaps the notes from Wiki could be copied there?
Somet time ago I added boostrap.bat script and it is mentioned in 
instructions on the Wiki. I see that version.h is provided in the 
package and platform.h is generated automagically.
Does it mean bootstrap.bat is useless now? If so, I can remove its notes 
from the Wiki.
