#501: Snap operation: wrong snapping
------------------------+---------------------------------------------------
 Reporter:  aperi2007   |       Owner:  geos-devel@…
     Type:  defect      |      Status:  new
 Priority: major | Milestone: GEOS Future
Component:  Default     |     Version:  svn-trunk
 Severity:  Unassigned  |    Keywords:  jtsfail
------------------------+---------------------------------------------------
Changes (by strk):

  * keywords:  => jtsfail
  * version:  3.3.0 => svn-trunk
  * milestone:  3.3.2 => GEOS Future

Comment:

 The case also fails with JTS. It's a known limitation of the snapping
 code, quoting from the documentation:
 {{{
  * Too much snapping can result in invalid topology
  * being created, so the number and location of snapped vertices
  * is decided using heuristics to determine when it
  * is safe to snap.
 }}}
