I confirm there's a speed difference. JTS completes in 12 seconds here, while GEOS takes 40. It's not expected, no. Want to put it under a profiler to see what's going on ? I tried with GEOS trunk (3.4.0-dev) and JTS from September 2012. There was no robustness issue involved. --strk;
