[geos-devel] Moving GEOS repository to GIT

Are all GEOS committers ok with moving the code from SVN
to GIT, while keeping the current trac instance ?

The PHP binding is already under GIT and properly interacts
with trac, see https://trac.osgeo.org/geos/browser

Moving the core might take a bigger effort if we want
to retain references from tickets to commits, but I guess
if we keep the old SVN repository around as read-only for
historic purposes it might not be a huge problem.

What are you feelings about this ?
