Confirmed, was my invention (funded by Tuscany Region).
I think I leave "Port Info" comments on top of each file
where original work is marked as such, do you see it ?

Speaking of testcases, JTS XML tests often have carriage
returns (or they had them in the SVN version). Other than
those CRs they should be supported verbatim by GEOS
XMLTester. What we do not support are the custom equality
verifiers (would be nice to add)
