Thanks, I was about to mention this. Normally libgeos_c.so.1 is
expected, not libgeos_c.so.0.

Otherwise, beta2 looks good and Shapely tests run fine!

https://trac.osgeo.org/geos/ticket/1081 can wait, as it is a
relatively minor component of the library, and has probably been a bug
in one form or another for several releases without any user reports.
