Okay, so http://www.remotesensing.org/geotiff/listgeo.html contains the
information about how to setup the csv files. and from the looks of it, I
don't need to recompile anything to begin using the new csv tables.

Wow! Your kidding.. I must have misunderstood how listgeo and geotifcp work
then.  I did not see any documentation on how to set up the csv tables to
work with Listgeo and geotifcp. 


So.. do I even need to recompile libgeotiff to use the updated csv tables?

Harley,

By default libgeotiff is built to read the .csv files at runtime.  An
alternative is to build the .c files with the table information into the
DLL/exe and then no runtime access to the csv files is needed. The .inc
files are always compiled it, but basically just supply "macro names" to go
with the various codes.
