Ok, but in my situation, it was not just a slight difference in quality, 
the picture was completely unusable: distorted, reduced a lot and 
repeated several times across the image in both vertical and horizontal 
directions... !

>   * For TIFF, the JAI codec is better than the JSE one.

I see : it would have been too simple if every codecs from the same 
source were better.... :-)
