This is pretty literal. :)

uDig (http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/download/attachments/77/feature_obj.gif 
) and GeoSilk (http://projects.opengeo.org/common/geosilk/trunk/geosilk/vector.png 
) share a common vector metaphor that is a bit more abstract (maybe a  
bit too abstract?).
