If anyone is planing to modifiy d.rast to better represent vector
maps that have been rasterized, consider this idea - a new
command option (f) and a new flag (-a) d.rast:
-a align the current region to the map being displayed to
reduce resampling when the filter is applied; and
f=N filter to replace ZERO data with the mode of a NxN window.
