Floating exception - core dumped problem

 | I compiled GRASS 4.0 under Interactive UNIX/386.  When I run r.vect to
 | display spearfish vector files, I got the "floating exception - core dumped"
 | message.  Any body knows how to solve the problem?  Thank you for your help.

You may be using data files that were generated from an "incompatible" cpu.
Try creating a new binary vector file with v.in.ascii and then running d.vect
on the result.
