Old r.slope.aspect

Hi,
I'm using the old version of r.slope.aspect, and I get funny looking
results for the aspect map, i.e. NO SLOPES IN CATEGORY 1 (east).
I remember reading about bugs in the program. Was this one of them?
If so, what happens to the east facing pixels? Which category are they assigned
to? And are the other categories reliable??
