problems compiling r.tiff code

The code in src.contrib/SCS/raster/r.tiff won't quite compile as is on
my Sun.  The tools directory contains file cg8gt.c, which wants to include
a file <suntool/sun.h> and <suntool/canvas.h>.  I suspect these are old
Sunview include files.  Has anyone compiled r.tiff successfully or found
a way around not having these include files?
