WHOA!  Not everything available via anonymous ftp is in the public
domain.  The California Division of Mines and Geology (CDMG) copyrights
its products, but the federal government cannot.  CSMIP data are
produced by CDMG's Strong Motion Instrumentation Program, but I'm not
all that certain whether the posted data have been copyrighted.  It's
something that I'll bring up though...
