Yes, I already work with the PROJ library. This is a very nice
manner to convert geo data between differents projections.
To convert from the ll projection to the merc projection, you
must perform the following operations:

ll -> longitude/latitude -> merc

I don't have my documentation with me. The documentation is
easy to found in the net.
