very nice, it works now. Now you can even close monitors by "killing"
them. 

I have the fix for the typecast ready and i have nearly ready a code
reorganization that allows to switch between fifo and ipc messages by
compiler switch (-DIPC or -DFIFO). 

Just to announce this, so that we do not get under our feet again. I
hope that it can wait until Saturday morning, as i will check it in
then.

I'll have a look at this weird CELL driver problem too.

There is no need to propagate the change to the ipc-new/io.c, as it
works with ipc msgs. because the system with testing by opening a fifo
is not used there.
