Is everyone else aware of the Geographic Markup Language flavor of XML? I
just learned about it, and there is a version 2 out now. For more
information, take a look at <http://xml.coverpages.org/geographyML.html>.

Perhaps this would work as the intermediate form between GRASS and the
rest of the GIS data world (both incoming and outgoing).

Now, if there were business DTDs available for DocBook, we could
standardize on XML rather than LaTeX as our text processing/typesetting
software to replace WordPerfect-8.
