this is quite strange, here it runs well. Perhaps you are working 
in different mapsets?

> V.digit show avery small problem : window terminal does not repaint when

This was already fixed in CVS by Glynn: v.digit now freezes the monitor size
to avoid such confusions. After leaving v.digit it can be resized again.
