Subject: g.remove with wildcards, please

Platform: GNU/Linux/i386
grass obtained from: Trento Italy site
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources
GRASS Version: 5.0pre4

Wildcards such as ?/* would be really handy when dealing with massive data clearing efforts in GRASS.
For example, g.remove rast=foo??? would allow to get rid of foo001,foo002.....foo999, etc.
