if you look there:
"--with-grass50    must be full path to MAIN branch (not release) of
                  grass 5.0"

it says: 'not release'. But I can write

"--with-grass50    must be full path to MAIN (=experimental) branch 
                   (not release) of grass 5.0"

into that file.
