Well, since this was a new feature and not yet fully functional,
I recommend to "play" in the HEAD. At time release branch
is broken... (HEAD as well). But I think that only fully functional
uploads to release branch make sense.

Second problem is that part was commited to HEAD, other part
to release branch.
