I don't think anyone is really worried about your use of GRASS code, but
problems may arise if someone downloads libgrass believing it to be LGPL
and then includes it with their own software under the mistaken belief
that they are in the clear WRT the GPL.. then they find out and freak.

Just trying to head off future unpleasantness & ill will before it
arises.
