[GRASS5] [bug #1866] (grass) can not find start script

Subject: can not find start script

grass obtained from: Mirror of Trento site
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources

I was able to install grass5, followed the directions and went to start grass, i typed grass5 in the 
usr/local/grass5 folder and the following text appeared:  grass5: Command not found.

please help
