[GRASS5] free software dxf support

I want to split the subjects:

This mail is only about evaluating technical possibilities
to exchange data with DXF DWG files with Free Software.
My other mail will be about the why to do this debate.

On the DIME website it says that it is only tested by them
up to version 14, but might work with other versions
and somebody could use it for 2000 files.

Can you tell me a bit about your findings?
Did you try other things then DIME, dxflib and QCAD?
Which of these libraries would provide the best starting
point if you would develop a completely Free Software library?
