[GRASS5] errors v.digit in G57

Dear developers,

v.digit in G57 does not work. Backtracing with gdb gives the following
results.
How can I compile G57 with better debug-output? 
I did not perform a "make install" because I run it out of the
source-tree/dist.$ARCH/-directory.
can anybody provide help, please?

This GDB was configured as "i386-linux"...
(gdb) run
