[GRASS5] bug in PNG driver

I just noticed as did Lorenzo Moretti that d.out.png now produces an error
rather than an image. I am guessing that it is a bug in the PNG driver, but
I¹m not sure. Has anyone else run into this yet.

We are using the December 12 and later cvs version of GRASS 5.7 on Mac OSX.
