Subject: i.smap doesn't work with MASK, problem with NULL (no data) values

Platform: GNU/Linux/i386
grass obtained from: CVS
grass binary for platform: Compiled from Sources
GRASS Version: cvs from 20040102

Dear Developers,

I checked out a MASK while classifying with i.smap. The MASK contains NULL data cells where I wanted to mask out areas.
It's interesting i.smap uses the MASK on the one hand but fills up the MASK with the MASK-sourrounding classes on the other hand. Obviously it doesn't read the MASK as an area where there should be no classification but uses the neighbourhood relations to fill up the MASK though.

Usually it should do it without calculating on the masked out areas?

LJunek
