An outstanding bug in NVIZ appears (here, RH 9, also Mandrake 9.1)
with nviz in lat-long locations:

[...]
scripting menu 6 made
scripting menu 7 made
scripting menu made
bgerror failed to handle background error.
Original error: too many nested calls to Tcl_EvalObj (infinite loop?)
Error in bgerror: too many nested calls to Tcl_EvalObj (infinite loop?)
bgerror failed to handle background error.

Then it takes forever... A bit of debugging showed that is might be
related to the 'update' function used in the .tcl scripts.
But I have not the slightest idea why it works well for non-lat-long
locations.

Any ideas? It's a severe problem IMHO.
