I just received this information from Lorenzo Moretti, who is compiling the current CVS version of GRASS 5.7 for binary distribution.

In the last cvs we have new menu in 5.7 but there are some problem:
The row for installing new tclgrass menu in 5.7 is missing in Makefile file: edit Makefile in row n.210 and enter:

        ${SHELL} -c "cd ${GISBASE} ; tar cBf - tcltkgrass | (cd ${INST_DIR} ; tar xBf - ) 2>/dev/null ; true"

This is a bug
