[GRASS5] Re: external proj, gdal, and tcltk

Lorenzo Moretti has done this with his binary distribution. The 
libraries come as a separate package that you can install if you'd 
like. They install in a separate /usr/local/grasslib directory so as 
not to overwrite something you already have and the path to this is 
dealt with in init.sh and a start up script. It works very well. My 
only trouble has been occasional confusion by a program over which 
version of what to use when I have multiples.
